Playa d'en Bossa 2027: area guide and where to stay
If your idea of the perfect Ibiza day is a swim in the morning, an open-air party in the afternoon and a superclub at night, all within walking distance, Playa d'en Bossa 2027 is the address you are looking for. This long stretch of sand just south of Ibiza Town, between the capital and the airport, is the beating heart of the island's clubbing scene. Ushuaïa, the open-air club built around a hotel, faces Hï Ibiza, the superclub that occupies the site of the legendary Space and was named the world's number one club by DJ Mag four years running from 2022 to 2025. DC10, home of Circoloco, is a short ride down the road towards the airport. Around them, the strip is lined with hotels, apartments, beach clubs, bars and restaurants that keep the area busy from spring to mid-October.

This guide explains what the area is like, how the clubs fit into it, which beach clubs and beaches to know, how to get around and where to stay, so you can decide whether it is the right base for your 2027 trip. None of the 2027 club programmes has been announced yet; the details below use the 2026 season as the reference, when Hï opened on 25 April and Ushuaïa on 26 April, with closings on 9 and 10 October. Anything that concerns next year is presented as an expectation rather than a fact. If you are comparing several areas, our overview of where to stay in Ibiza 2027 sets out the alternatives, from the old town of Ibiza to the calmer east coast and the rural north.
Playa d'en Bossa 2027 at a glance: the strip explained
Playa d'en Bossa, written Platja d'en Bossa in Catalan, runs south-west from the edge of Figueretes towards the airport, with the beach on one side of the main road and a dense line of hotels and apartments on the other. It is often described as one of the longest beaches on the island, with plenty of space for water sports in the morning and a busy, sociable atmosphere by the afternoon. The northern end, closest to Ibiza Town, is more urban and residential; the middle section is dominated by the big hotels and the two superclubs; the southern end, near the dunes, has a series of beach clubs and quieter stretches before the coast curves towards the salt flats of Ses Salines. Ibiza Town is about ten minutes away by taxi, and the airport is very close, which makes arrivals and departures easy. In peak summer, expect crowds, music and a lot of energy, especially around the clubs in the late afternoon and evening.
Ushuaïa and Hï: the superclubs of Playa d'en Bossa 2027
The two clubs that define the area face each other across the road and work almost as one destination. Ushuaïa is an open-air club built around the pool of the Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel, with parties that typically start in the afternoon and finish around 23:00. In 2026 its week included David Guetta on Mondays, Calvin Harris on Tuesdays in July and August and on Fridays, Tomorrowland with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike on Wednesdays, Martin Garrix on Thursdays, ANTS on Saturdays and Swedish House Mafia on Sundays. When Ushuaïa closes, the night continues at Hï Ibiza across the road, an indoor superclub with several rooms that typically runs from around midnight to six in the morning. In 2026 Hï hosted Black Coffee on Saturdays, Dom Dolla on Fridays in summer, Our House with MEDUZA and James Hype on Wednesdays and HUGEL on Thursdays. Nothing has been announced for 2027 yet. Read our guides to Ushuaïa Ibiza 2027 and Hï Ibiza 2027.
The Ushuaïa-Hï combination explains why so many clubbers choose this area. On a typical night you can spend the afternoon at the beach, walk to Ushuaïa for the sunset hours, eat something nearby and then cross the road to Hï, without a single taxi. Guests of the Ushuaïa hotel have access to its daily parties, which is a real advantage if you plan several afternoons there. DC10, on the road to Ses Salines near the airport, completes the trio: its Circoloco Mondays ran from 27 April to 12 October 2026, and the venue's terrace and garden attract a different, more underground crowd. The Discobus line from San Antonio stops at DC10 and then near Ushuaïa and Hï, and a short taxi links them. Ticket prices at these clubs varied widely in 2026, from around 35 euros for some nights at Hï to more than 100 euros for the biggest Ushuaïa shows, so book early for the nights you care about.
Beach clubs and beaches around Playa d'en Bossa 2027
By day, the strip is a beach destination in its own right. A series of beach clubs opened their 2026 seasons in the spring: Zazú and Nassau Beach Club from late March, Coco Beach at the southern end of the beach and Tanit Beach in early April, and Playa Soleil on 24 April. At the very southern end, near the dunes, Beachouse is another well-known name, though its 2026 status was not confirmed in our sources, so check before you go. Beach clubs typically offer sunbeds, food and DJs, with minimum spends that rise in high summer, while the public beach remains free. A short drive or bus ride south brings you to Ses Salines, the island's famous party beach set within the salt flats, with a quieter end popular with naturists and the calmer Es Cavallet beyond. For the classic west-coast coves you will need a bus, a boat or a car. Our Ibiza beach clubs 2027 guide compares the options.

Getting around from Playa d'en Bossa 2027
Few areas are as well connected. From the airport, the AERO5 bus served Playa d'en Bossa and Figueretes in about 27 minutes in 2026, running every 30 minutes from mid-May to mid-October for 3.50 euros by card, and a taxi takes only a few minutes. To Ibiza Town, there are frequent buses, a short taxi ride of about ten minutes and the Aquabus, which links the beach with the port. At night, the Discobus line D3 connects Playa d'en Bossa with DC10 and San Antonio, and in 2026 a new D2 loop linked Playa d'en Bossa, Ibiza Town and Pacha during the main season. [UNVRS] also ran a free shuttle for ticket holders from outside Ushuaïa every thirty minutes from 22:45 in 2026. Taxis to Pacha were reported at about 10 euros, and Amnesia and [UNVRS] are a little further. In short, you can live here without a car, which suits a clubbing trip perfectly. Our guide to getting around Ibiza explains every option.
Where to stay in Playa d'en Bossa 2027
Accommodation along the strip ranges from simple apartments to large resort hotels. The Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel, with its sister tower, is the most famous, and its guests can attend the daily parties; the Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza is another well-known name in the area. Many of the bigger hotels are built around pools that host music and events in summer, so read the descriptions carefully if you want calm afternoons. Apartments shared by a group of friends are a popular way to keep costs down, and the northern end of the beach near Figueretes tends to be more affordable and more residential, with easy access to Ibiza Town. Wherever you book, consider noise: rooms facing the main road or the clubs can be loud until the early hours in July and August. Book early for the summer months, when hotel occupancy on the island is close to full, and check whether the tourist tax is added at checkout. Our Ibiza budget 2027 guide puts the costs in context.

Eating and daily life in Playa d'en Bossa 2027
Life on the strip follows the rhythm of the clubs. Mornings are quiet, with joggers on the promenade, water-sports schools setting up and late breakfasts in the cafés; afternoons build towards the parties, and evenings are busy with people eating before heading to Ushuaïa or Hï. Restaurants along the main road cover every budget, from fast food to beach-club dining, but prices close to the clubs and on the beachfront are high, so many visitors use supermarkets for breakfast, water and snacks and save restaurant meals for the evening. For a more local experience, Ibiza Town is ten minutes away, with the old town, the market and restaurants serving traditional dishes such as bullit de peix and sofrit pagès. Sunscreen, hats and plenty of water are essential, because the strip has little natural shade, and the reflection off the sand in July and August is intense in the middle of the day.
When to visit Playa d'en Bossa 2027
The area comes alive in late April, when the opening weekend brings the first big parties: in 2026 Hï opened on 25 April and Ushuaïa on 26 April, with DC10 following on 27 April. May and early June are lively but less crowded, with pleasant weather and a sea that warms up from around 18 degrees in May to 22 degrees in June on long-term averages. July and August are the peak, with every residency running, the busiest beaches and the highest prices. September is often the sweet spot, with warm sea, open clubs and slightly fewer people, and the closings fill the first half of October; in 2026 Hï closed on 9 October and Ushuaïa on 10 October. If the 2027 calendar follows the same shape, the opening and closing weekends will again be the most sought-after dates in the area. Use the alert on this page to hear about the 2027 dates and line-ups as soon as they are announced.
Playa d'en Bossa 2027: frequently asked questions
Readers who are considering the strip as their base tend to ask about three things: whether it is too noisy, whether they really can do everything on foot, and how it compares with Ibiza Town or San Antonio. The answers below are based on the 2026 season, including the club calendars of Ushuaïa, Hï and DC10, the airport and night bus lines that served the area, and the seasonal opening of the beach clubs. They will be updated once the 2027 programmes are confirmed, which usually begins with residency announcements in the first months of the year and continues with the opening party line-ups in the spring. If you want to compare the strip with other bases in detail, our area guides to Ibiza Town, San Antonio and Santa Eulària follow the same structure and cover beaches, nightlife, transport and accommodation for each part of the island, so you can compare them side by side.
Is Playa d'en Bossa 2027 the best base for clubbing?
For a trip centred on Ushuaïa, Hï and DC10, it is the most convenient base on the island. The two superclubs face each other on the strip, DC10 is a short taxi or Discobus ride away, and many nights end with a walk home rather than a queue for a taxi. Ibiza Town and Pacha are about ten minutes away, and in 2026 a seasonal night bus linked the strip with both. The main limitation is distance from the west coast: San Antonio's sunsets, boat parties and coves take longer to reach. If your nights are mostly at Amnesia, [UNVRS] and Pacha, Ibiza Town may suit you slightly better. But for a classic clubbing week built around the south-coast residencies, which in 2026 included Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Swedish House Mafia, ANTS, Black Coffee and Circoloco, Playa d'en Bossa is very hard to beat for practicality and time saved.
Is Playa d'en Bossa 2027 too noisy to sleep?
In July and August, parts of the strip are loud until the early hours, especially near the clubs and on the main road, and some hotels host pool parties during the day. If you plan to go out every night, this hardly matters; if you want calm, it can be a real problem. To limit noise, choose accommodation at the northern end near Figueretes or set back from the main road, ask for a room away from the street or the pool, and read recent guest reviews for comments about sound. Travelling in May, June or late September also helps, as the area is calmer outside the peak weeks. Families and couples looking for peaceful nights often prefer Talamanca, Santa Eulària or the north, coming to Playa d'en Bossa only for the parties. Earplugs and air conditioning are worth their weight in gold on the busiest nights of the season.
How do I get from the airport to Playa d'en Bossa in 2027?
The airport is very close, which is one of the area's advantages. In 2026 the AERO5 bus connected the airport with Playa d'en Bossa and Figueretes in about 27 minutes, every 30 minutes from mid-May to mid-October, for 3.50 euros by card or QR code and 4.90 euros in cash; outside that period, other lines and taxis cover the route. A taxi takes only a few minutes and, under the tariff in force before the September 2026 increase, cost roughly 10 to 14 euros, with a small airport supplement. The 2027 timetables and fares have not been published yet, so check the operator's app before you travel, especially for an arrival in late April for the opening parties, when the seasonal bus may not yet be running. Our Ibiza airport transfers 2027 guide covers all the options in detail, including pre-booked transfers for late-night landings and what to expect at the taxi rank in peak weeks.
